Parent & Me - Creative Movement (Ages 18 months to 3 years)

Our Parent and Me Creative Movement class is a fun introduction to the classroom environment for students ages 18 months to 3 years old! This class allows for bonding between the student and caregiver while exploring with egg shakers, scarves, parachutes, and obstacle courses! We will work on active listening skills and introduce routines in a gentle, caring, and fun environment. Students will be learning through guided play and will be introduced to movement topics such as levels, tempo, space, and sizes! We are so excited to offer this class to parents and their little ones!

This class is the perfect introduction to pre-k dance for your little one, without the season-long commitment! The first two weeks of class will focus on pre-k ballet foundations and creative movement. The second two weeks hip hop fundamentals, along with basic and rhythmic movement concepts, will be covered. The last two weeks of the session will be an introduction to acrobatics which will help students develop artistic use of movements and tricks, focusing on dance related lines within the skills given. Overall upper and lower body coordination, flexibility, strength, limbering, balancing and tumbling skills are part of this segment. Song and dance, storytelling, and class etiquette will also be a focus throughout. Students will share their learnings at a mini-performance for their families during the last day of class on Saturday, April 20.

Free trial class available Saturday, March 2 only. Beginner to Intermediate-level tappers welcomed. A mixed level tap class, starting with the basics of tap dancing and building on that vocabulary. We will work on weekly set exercises, build to more complex steps and apply these steps into a combination/dance.
