Why should I choose TDC?
The Dance Centre has been a leader in dance education in Rocky River, Ohio, for more than 3 decades, providing a positive, welcoming and challenging environment for every dancer. The experience is about much more than teaching our students to dance. Through dance, we seek to cultivate long term development of character, wellness, and healthy athleticism. With a strong belief in versatile dance training as well as age-appropriate instruction and choreography, TDC focuses on quality education, performance, community, and character to encourage dancers to grow in discipline, self-motivation, teamwork, and confidence. Our goal is for TDC students to grow not only as dancers, but as leaders in our community.
Does Club TDC compete at dance competitions?
Select Club TDC Teams attend competition. However, attending dance competitions is not the focus of our program. Many of our Club TDC Teams allow dancers to pursue other extracurricular activities and school commitments!
We’ve shifted our focus towards programming and performance opportunities that better serve our students and families, and align more closely with TDC’s values, mission, and high standards of ethics and integrity.
We’ve found that our dancers continue to train at a high level and gain important skills through other performance opportunities that aim to serve our community through dance. Our students have learned the importance of philanthropy and have grown in character, confidence, and leadership through our annual Benefit Show and implementation of Girls Geared for Greatness Programming. We’ve found that our TDC community and studio culture have been positively impacted through this shift!
When is the 2025-2026 Season Finale?

How much are the classes, and how do I pay?
Pricing varies, depending on the class, camp, workshop, or intensive selected.
Please see our tuition page where you will find general tuition information.
Weekly Class Tuition:
30 minutes: $65.00
45 minutes: $75.00
60 minutes: 90.00
75 minutes: 105.00
90 minutes: $115.00
Tuition at TDC is based on the full 9.5-month dance season, not the number of classes per month. Some months may include five classes, others fewer due to holidays, but tuition remains consistent throughout.
Program-Based Structure: Our curriculum is designed as a complete program over the full season, not a per-class model. The total tuition is divided over the year into monthly payments to help our families budget.
Makeup Options: If a class falls on a holiday or break, we offer makeup options to keep students progressing and getting the most out of their training.
You can easily pay via the TDC Parent Portal! Tuition is collected in full, or monthly, by automatic credit card transaction, or by automatic pre-authorized (ACH) payments, upon registration from September 2025- June 2026.
What does my registration fee cover?
The annual registration fee covers administrative costs. A registration fee of $45.00 for 1 dancer or $65.00 per family will be charged for the 2025-2026 season.
How do I know which classes I should take?
Returning Students will receive custom class recommendations, specific to each individual dancer prior to open enrollment.
New Students- we are often able to recommend a dancer to a level based on prior experience and/or age. However, we may encourage new students to take a trial class. This will allow our staff the opportunity to correctly place your dancer in a level. Levels are re-visited and assigned each season with the student’s best interest and development in mind.
What happens if I miss a class?
If you are unable to make your dance class, we recommend scheduling a makeup class. We also request you notify us via email of any upcoming absence.
See more details in our Makeup Class Policies upon enrollment.
Please note: we do not refund or prorate tuition for missed classes.
What if my child wants to change or drop a class after the season has begun?
Students can drop classes from October 1, 2025, through January 22, 2026.
Tuition Responsibility: Students dropping classes during this period will be responsible for tuition payments through the end of the current pay period. For example, if written notice is emailed to TDC between October 1 and October 31, tuition is due for the full month of October with no refunds.
Notice Requirement: Written notice via email (billing@thedancecentrecle.com) is required at least seven (7) business days prior to the next pay period, as payments are charged on the first business day of each month.
Continuing with Class But Not Performing in Season Finale: If a dancer has conflicts with the dress rehearsal and/or performance dates, they may still take a performance class or classes. However, they will drop the class in mid-May. In this scenario, there would be no costume deposit; May tuition would be prorated; and June tuition would be waived. TDC must be notified of this situation in writing no later than December 20, 2025.
SECOND SEMESTER DROP POLICY
Students may drop classes up until January 22, 2026. As of February 1, 2026, the remaining yearly tuition balance is owed monthly, regardless of class attendance in the second semester. For example, if a class is dropped on March 1, the family is responsible for the monthly tuition for that class through June 2026.
Costume deposits will not be refunded or credited for classes dropped on or after December 20, 2025.
Season Finale Participation Package: If TDC does not receive written notice of class drops by January 22, 2026, TDC assumes students in performance classes are participating in the season finale. After this date, families are responsible for the Season Finale Participation Package, regardless of participation. Please see the Season Finale Dance Performance and Costume Payment Policy sections for more information.
